Lobster rolls

There are several versions of this American classic that have become very popular lately. These "lobster rolls" are flavoured with a touch of lemon, mayonnaise and fresh herbs. Surprise people at your crayfish party. Serve as they are or together with salad, chips or crisps.

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 2 cooked lobsters
  • 4 Pågen hot dog rolls
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives
  • ½ tbsp finely chopped dragon
  • ½ dl mayonnaise
  • 50 g lettuce
  • Butter for frying

Method

Directions

  1. Remove the lobster tails from the body. Crack the shell and pick out the meat. Crack the claws by gently tapping with the back of a knife. Cut the lobster meat into rough chunks.
  2. Grate the yellow peel from the lemons on the finest side of a grater or with a zest grater. Mix the shells together with chives and tarragon.
  3. Heat a frying pan with butter to medium heat. Fry the hot dog rolls on the outside on both sides. If you want it less greasy - heat the hot dog buns in the oven for about 5 min at 200 degrees C.
  4. Open the hot dog rolls carefully. Spread mayonnaise on both sides. Add lettuce and lobster meat. Garnish with chives, tarragon and lemon zest. Serve with lemon wedges.
